SpinTel launches new reseller program.

Sydney 4th March 2008

SpinTel today announces the launch of a new reseller program. The program will be aimed at computer retailers and system integrators.

SpinTel's Marketing Manager Bill McArthur says, "With the recent demise of many ISP reseller programs we feel that this is the ideal time to introduce this program. Margins on computers have become painfully low the past few years and our program offers the reseller the opportunity to double or triple what they may make on the sale."

The SpinTel reseller program has been in development over the past six months and it provides an extensive back end for commission tracking. Point of sale is provided on start up with an online re-ordering feature.

The commission payment will be large once off payments as opposed to ongoing commission, which is the current industry norm. Mr McArthur adds, "Some companies offer ongoing commission but it takes a while to build up a large dollar amount. The reseller is also dependent on the customer remaining with the ISP. SpinTel will offer up to $155 in commission on ADSL1 or ADSL2+ and up to $900 on corporate DSL plans. The fact is resellers can use this commission to improve cashflow."

Signing up for the reseller program is easy and applications can be approved within 48 hours. More information on the program can be found here: http://resellers.spin.net.au/

As far as we've seen, the San Francisco free offer still hasn't gone live. Internet launches Free Mobile Broadband for the Gold Coast.

Sydney 18th November 2006

Internet strikes again.this time taking its exciting free mobile broadband offer to the Gold Coast. After a hugely successful launch in Canberra, Internet moves full steam ahead with its plan to introduce free mobile broadband to other Australian cities with iBurst coverage . and the lucky recipient is the Gold Coast. Internet's Marketing Manager Bill McArthur says "The exceptional response from the residents of Canberra shows there is a need for this type of service. The NSW Premier's office has promised free wireless to Sydney. Internet is now offering free broadband to Canberra and the Gold Coast. We certainly don't have the resources the government has access to but, we're making this happen now. Internet isn't even up for re-election."
Internet will be providing 200MB of free data per month on their high speed iBurst product, which enables connection from most areas of the Gold Coast. The iBurst technology allows laptop users to remain connected - at speeds of up to 1Mbps - even while travelling between suburbs. The great news is that after buying an iBurst modem and paying the standard set-up fee, Mr McArthur says there will be absolutely no on-going fees if the user stays under the data limit of 200MB. Once a user goes over the 200MB there will be a 22 cent charge per MB.

Mr McArthur adds "There's been a lot of press recently of government building and offering free wireless services. If you do the numbers you'll see that we don't need to build any more wireless networks as we have two strong ones in place now: iBurst and Unwired. The Government is willing to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on a new networks, when it would be more cost effective to subsidise the current networks. Modem and monthly fees could be partly subsidised at a fraction of the cost of building a new networks. Much the same way but, to a lesser extent, that the current NSW government offered rebates on the M5 motorway toll." The iBurst network now covers Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Canberra with Adelaide and Perth to follow within the next 12 months. Users who wish to sign up for the service will need to visit www.spin.net.au/freeoffer
