What is flagfall?
It’s a fixed fee of around 39 cents for any timed call made from your business phone, the good news, we don’t charge flag fall on any of our bundles.
How easy is it to connect with SpinTel?
It couldn’t be easier. Choose your bundle and we will inform you when your service will be activated. All work is carried out remotely. If you are ordering a modem from us, it will arrive preconfigured for our network before your service is activated. All you need to do is plug it in! If you already have a modem, we will send you your login details before your service is activated. We will notify you by email and SMS when your service has been activated.
Can I keep my telephone number?
Yes. You can keep your existing landline telephone number when transferring to SpinTel.
Will I be notified once I reach my included data limit?
We’ll notify you at 50%, 85% and 100% of your included data allowance, so you’ll know how you’re tracking.
How do I upgrade my bundle?
You can choose to upgrade your bundle while still under contract, and it’s free of charge. Simply log into My Account, our 24-hour customer service portal, and with a few clicks you can upgrade your bundle.
Do I get priority service?
Yes when you make a call to us using a phone number supplied to us as a contact point will receive priority service.

Connection speed is up to 20000/800Kbps (ADSL2+). This depends on what is available on your telephone line.
Where ADSL2+ is not available, we will connect the fastest speed possible for your telephone line, either up to 8000/384Kbps or 1500/256Kbps.
SpinTel's Top 50 International call locations offer great value. The Top 50 include calls to mobiles in five countries, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, China and the US.
All Home Phone plans include $1.98 for the first hour to our Top 50 international countries.
30 days' written notice is required in writing for cancellation of services.
$15 postage and handling fee applies for hardware purchases.
In most cases you are able to retain your current landline telephone number.
Connection times may vary if you do not have an active telephone service and we will advise you of a connection timeframe once the order has been placed.
'Free Setup' refers to an active line that is being transferred to us. Phone connection fees may apply for reconnections, technician visits or cabling of new lines.
39¢ call connection charge applies to timed calls and is in addition to International Special or max cost call rates.
Timed calls are billed in 60 second increments.
Both the home phone and broadband service will be contracted for the elected term.
The Top 50 International Special is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Should you have a rented Telstra handset, it is advisable to return the device to avoid a $50 handset purchase charge. Furthermore, if you are paying telephone handset rental with your current provider, this monthly charge may continue to be billed by SpinTel until you return the handset.
Home phone features available may differ from your current provider. A list of home phone features is displayed here.
Home phone features you may have activated with your current provider may be transferred and monthly fees for those features will be billed by SpinTel.
Some home phone features may not be compatible and complex services such as Line Hunt, FaxStream or Indial may not be available on this service. If you currently have one of these services, you may be required to remove them prior to submitting your application. Features such as redirections and auxiliary numbers may be cancelled on transfer.
Calls to 13 &1300 numbers are charged at 35¢ per call.
An early termination fee of $149 pro-rata applies to the home phone service should you cancel within your contract term.
An early termination fee of $300 pro-rata applies to the broadband service should you cancel within your contract term.
You may change plans at any time during your contract.
There is no charge to upgrade or downgrade your plan.
Service connection time is between three and 14 working days. If you currently have an active service, in most cases you can continue to use it without service interruption.
Data usage is calculated for both downloads only.
Data usage is counted in gigabytes where 1 gigabyte (GB) = 1000 megabytes (MB).
Unused download data is forfeited at the end of each billing month.
Should you transfer your home phone to another provider within your contract period, your broadband monthly access fee will be changed to the monthly bundled rate.
The service will be delivered over the Telstra Wholesale or Optus Wholesale network
200 emails (without attachments) will use approx. 1MB of data. However, if you receive or send attachments, usage will increase.
Transferring 100 low-quality photos - 10MB of data
Transferring high quality pictures - 100MB to 200MB.
General Web surfing
An indicative sample would be that of a family of four people each having their own computer and smart phone, and sharing a single ADSL2+ Wi-Fi connection. Assuming each family member looks at websites for two hours a day while at home, this would equate to eight hours, or 240 hours per Month.
Total monthly usage would be approx. 3.6GB per month. Note: 100 hours of web surfing (visiting approx.750 web sites) would equate to 1.5GB of data.
Transferring photo and text files
A high-resolution photograph is about 2MB, a ten-slide PowerPoint presentation is 1MB, and a MP3 music file averages around 3MB. Conversely if you purchase an eBook from Amazon for your reading device usage would be minimal - 400KB (0.4MB) for a 250-page novel.
