How easy is it to connect with SpinTel?

It couldn't be easier. Choose your plan and we will inform you when your service will be connected to SpinTel. We will notify you by email and SMS when your service has been connected.

Can I keep my telephone number?

Yes. You can keep your existing landline telephone number when transferring to SpinTel.

How do I upgrade my plan?

You can choose to upgrade your plan at any time and it’s free of charge. Simply log into My Account, our 24-hour customer service portal, and with a few clicks you can upgrade your plan or change it to a bundle.

Can I bundle my phone with a broadband service?

Absolutely, if you want to bundle your phone with a broadband service, give us a call on 13 22 10 and we’ll be able to add a broadband service to your existing account

What is a bundle?

It’s all your household communication needs put together into one cost-effective package of optimum value. A typical bundle would include line rental, broadband and home phone calls.

Am I under contract?

No, none of our phone plans lock you in to a long term contract so you can enjoy our great service month to month without feeling locked in.

Voicemail $6.00

When you're unable to take a call, Voicemail can take it for you. No extra equipment such as answering machines is needed. Voicemail can also be used in conjunction with Call Waiting - if you don't want to interrupt your call, let Voicemail take your message. Message-retrieval charges may apply, depending on which service you have.

Calling Number Display (Caller ID) $6.00

Calling Number Display can help you identify who is calling by displaying the caller's phone number. It can also store the date and the time of the call, as well as the phone numbers of callers who hang up without leaving a message.

You will need a CND compatible phone or Calling Number Display unit in order to use the Calling Number Display feature.

If you have call blocking or line blocking enabled on your phone line, or you have a Silent Line, your Calling Line Identification (CLI) will generally not be disclosed to third parties.

However there are some circumstances in which your CLI will always be disclosed. You cannot block CLI on calls made by you or someone else on your phone line:

  • to the emergency call service (000);
  • on internet dial up calls made to an Internet Service Provider (ISP) who uses a Telstra ISDN service or an 0198307 or 0198308 access number, but only where the ISP uses the CLI for fraud prevention, billing, call management or credit control;
  • when you or someone else sends a text message or replies to a Talking Text message from your Basic Telephone Service - in accordance with worldwide standards for SMS, all messages including reply messages will display the telephone number of the sender;
  • when you or someone else uses another carriage service provider by using a network override code.
Multiple Number $6.00

Multiple Number offers:

  • an additional phone number for your existing phone line, as well as the option of separate billing for that number
  • a separate ring tone for your new number that lets you know who the incoming call is for
  • separate billing for your second number, via a coded prefix. This lets you itemise the bill and divide it among other occupants if appropriate
  • call forward facility which may be applied to each number independently
Duet Phone and Fax Multiple Number $6.00

Duet Phone and Fax Multiple Number allows you to add a fax number to your existing phone line, giving you separate phone and fax numbers without installing a second line. Normal call charges still apply. This service is available through most telephone exchanges in Australia. Not all fax machines may be compatible.

Call Forward Selected Callers $2.20

Choose which calls are forwarded to your mobile, pager, answering service or other phone numbers, from your home phone. You can have up to 15 numbers redirected. The cost of forwarded calls is set at applicable rates.

Call Forward Set the Time $3.30

Forward calls from your home phone to your mobile, pager, answering service or other phone numbers during times that you have specified. You can set up to 15 time periods during which your calls will be forwarded. The cost of forwarded calls is set at applicable rates. Call Forward Set the Time is available from tone phones in most areas throughout Australia and calls can be forwarded to most phone numbers in Australia.

Call Control $3.30

Call Control allows you to restrict the types of calls made from your home or company phone. You can choose to bar outgoing STD, international, 190, or local numbers (Reverse Charge calls can still be accepted regardless of the level of barring).

Abbreviated Dialling $3.30

Abbreviated Dialling lets you make calls by using just a one or 2 digit code. You can store up to 60 phone numbers, including STD and international numbers.

  • Up to 8 storage numbers $3.30 incl.GST per month.
  • Up to 40 storage numbers $5.06 incl.GST per month.
  • Up to 60 storage numbers $6.16 incl.GST per month.
Delayed Hotline $3.30

Delayed Hotline allows you to call a particular phone number without dialling. You just pick up the phone, wait four seconds, and the number is dialled automatically. Calls made using Delayed Hotline are charged at applicable rates.

Selective Call Accept $3.30

With Selective Call Features, you can choose to divert, accept or reject calls from particular numbers. You can apply Selective Call Features to up to 30 numbers at a time. Selective Call Accept is available from tone phones in most areas throughout Australia. Please note this is not available with all of our products.

Smart Ring $4.40

Smart Ring lets you identify who is calling by the sound of your telephone's ring.

You can select up to three distinctive rings, with each distinctive ring able to be used for up to 15 numbers. Any calls not linked to a Smart Ring List are announced by the normal ring tone.

Silent Number $0

An unlisted number (or 'silent line') provides you with a way to increase your privacy. Under Part 13 of the Telecommunications Act 1997, carriers, CSPs, number-database operators, emergency call persons and their respective employees and associates are required to protect the confidentiality of information that relates to the affairs or personal particulars (including any unlisted telephone number) of another person.

This means that if you have a silent number, your number won't be listed in the White Pages directory, or directory assisted services. Please note that if your phone number is listed in the current White Pages, you would have to wait for the next edition.

The disclosure or use of protected information is authorised in limited circumstances. For example, such disclosures may be made to authorised law enforcement agencies for purposes relating to the enforcement of criminal law or where the disclosure or use is reasonably necessary to prevent or lessen a serious and imminent threat to the life or health of a person.

Silent Number is available throughout Australia.

Line Hunt $5.00

Line Hunt allows you to purchase additional lines, while advertising only one number. As calls are received, they are automatically directed to the next free line. Line Hunt allows you to improve your customer service, by directing calls to the appropriate department, and ensuring they are answered promptly.

There are two types of Line Hunt options:

  • Call Circulate - incoming calls are received first on your nominated line. When that line is busy, calls are automatically directed to next available.
  • Call Share - incoming calls are equally distributed across every line in the group.

Line Hunt is charged at $3.55 per month per line in addition to the normal line rental charges. There is also a once off initial connection charge of $46.20. Changes or additions to an existing Line Hunt group are charged at $46.20 each.

Remote Access $2.20

If the kids are home and you're not, and you've forgotten to switch on Call Control so that they can't make expensive calls, you can turn it on from another location using Remote Access. Applicable call forwarding charges apply.

International Rates

On top of our already competetive international calling rates, we offer a special rate for countries in our top 50 list. SpinTel customers can enjoy a low rate of $1.98, for the first hour to any of our top 50 international countries. What happens after I place my order?

Once your order is received our provisioning team will verify your order details, then perform some additional checks on your order.


When can I use the order tracker?

After your order is verified we will create your account, which means you can now log into our Order Tracker (this usually takes about 24 hours from when you place your order).


How long does it take to complete my order?

Please see the table below for estimates on order delivery times, we recommend viewing the 'More Information' link that relates to your order type so that you may view specific information regarding your service installation.

Our delivery time frames heavily depend on infrastructure available at your address, please note that these are provided to be a guide only, and are based on our average delivery times.

How does SpinTel keep me updated on my order progress?

At almost every step of the way we will keep you updated on your order, you should expect to receive emails & SMS from us when you order is submitted, and when it is completed.


What if there are issues with my order?

Occasionally we may run into issues, this can happen at any stage of the install process. If this happens we will notify you via email, and one of our agents will call you ASAP to attempt to resolve whatever issue may have ocured.


When will I get my first bill?

We have two bill runs that dispatch invoices on either the 7th, or 21st of the month.

Some customers receive a bill before their entire order is completed.

For example, a customer has ordered a bundle, and their phone was connected before the broadband. If a bill run is scheduled after this then you will receive an invoice for the active service.


All of our products are covered by SpinTel's Standard Form of Agreement and are subject to our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).

  • Payment options include direct debit or credit card.
  • Available to residential customers only.
  • Service is billed monthly in advance.

  • 30 days’ notice is required for cancellation of services.
  • You will retain your current phone number.
  • Service connection time is approximately one working day when transferring an active service. Connection times may vary if you do not have an active service and we will advise you of a connection timeframe once the order has been placed.
  • You may continue to use your active service without disruption during the transfer.
  • 39¢ call connection charge applies to timed calls and is in addition to International Special or max cost call rates.
  • Calls to 13/1300 numbers are charged at 40¢ per call.
  • Timed calls are billed in 60-second increments.
  • The Top 50 International Special is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • If you are paying handset rental with your current provider, this monthly charge will continue to be billed by SpinTel until the handset has been returned.
  • Home phone features may differ from your current provider. A list of compatible features is displayed here.
  • Home phone features you have with your current provider may be transferred and monthly fees for those features will be billed by SpinTel.
  • The service will be delivered over the Telstra Wholesale or Optus Wholesale network.
