New Phone Line Connections


There are a few different scenarios when it comes to connecting your phone, each taking a different time to activate. Standard connection charges vary depending on whether your new home has an existing phone line and whether a technician is required.

Your phone line is active, you know your telephone number, you have a dialtone, and you can make and receive calls.

Your phone line has been activated before, however you cannot currently make or receive calls. No technician visit is required.

Your phone line has not been activated before, you have renovated, or you are ordering an additional phone connection.

  • All prices on this page include GST.
  • Prices stated above are for the first service only.
  • Should a technician be required, we will contact you to advise of the appointment time.
  • If you select a "New Phone Connection" on your order, we will contact you if the installation costs more than $59 to confirm you are happy to proceed.
  • Additional service charges (for each additional service connected at the same time, premises and customer) are as follows - Inplace: $59, Reconnect: $75.50, New: $179.
  • Additional charges may apply for items such as: cabling past the main distribution frame (MDF) or first socket where no MDF exists; trenching; or more difficult installations.
  • If you are connecting a New Line please ensure you have completed the necessary trenching work to avoid your order being held.
