Billion Setup Guide

Most Billion modems follow relatively standard steps to configure, please note we no longer support Billion devices.

Billion 5210s/5210s RC/5200/5200G

  1. Connect the Billion 5210s, 5210s RC, 5200 or 5200G to the power, phone line and network to your PC. Turn it on and wait about 1 minute for it to boot up and establish an ADSL signal.
  2. Type the following in the address bar: 192.168.1.254
  3. When prompted for a username and password, type:
    Username: admin
    Password: admin
    Once you've logged in you'll be presented with the following screen. Click on Interface Setup at the top
  4. Once the following screen appears, scroll down until you see the Username and Password fields and enter the information we sent you. Once completed, click on Save at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Congratulations, you have completed the setup for your modem

Billion 7300 RA

  1. Connect the Billion 7300 RA to the power, phone line and network to your PC. Turn it on and wait about 1 minute for it to boot up and establish an ADSL signal.
  2. Open your browser
  3. Type the following in the address bar: 192.168.1.254
  4. When prompted for a username and password, type:
    Username: admin
    Password: admin
  5. Click on WAN on the left-hand side.
  6. Once the new pages loads, in the username and password fields, type: Username: [phonenumber]@spin.net.au Password: [We will send you a system generated password]
  7. Once you have completed the username and password fields, click Apply under the settings.
  8. Once the page refreshes click on the Save Config link at the bottom of the page.
  9. Once the new page loads, click the Apply button.
  10. This following window will appear indicating you are online
  11. You are now connected to the internet.

  13. You will be asked for your phone number and which lights are on, off or flashing on your modem. Please have this information ready

Billion 7300, 7301VGP or 740x Setup Guide

  1. Connect the Billion BPIAC 7300, 7402R2, 7402G, 7402LM, 7301VGP or 7404VGP to the power, phone line and network to your PC. Turn it on and wait about 1 minute for it to boot up and establish an ADSL signal.
  2. Open your browser
  3. Type the following in the address bar: 192.168.1.254
  4. When prompted for a username and password, type:
    Username: admin
    Password: admin
  5. Click on Quick Start on the left-hand side.
  6. Once the new pages loads, in the username and password fields, type: Username: [phonenumber]@spin.net.au Password: [the password you selected when signing up with us]
  7. Once you have completed the username and password fields, click Apply at the bottom of the page.
  8. A window will appear saying 'Successful', click OK.
  9. Click the blue Save Config button at the bottom of the page. Once the new page loads, click the Apply button.
  10. A window will appear saying 'Save Config to Flash Successful', click OK.

Billion 7404VGPX

This guide will assist you in setting up your ADSL connection on the Billion 7404VGPX as well as securing your wireless network.

This guide will also include the steps on how to setup VoIP. Please note that this is optional and if you do not have a VoIP service then you can skip this step.

  1. Connect the Billion 7404VGPX ADSL2+ modem to the power.
  2. Plug the phone line into the wall socket and the modem.
  3. Plug the network cable to your PC and the other end of the cable into your modem.
  4. Turn the Billion on and wait about 1-2 minutes for it to boot up and establish an ADSL signal. You will notice that the modem is ready to configure when the ADSL light is solid.
  5. Open up your internet browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome.) Once your browser is open, type into the address bar 192.168.1.254
  6. Once loaded, the page will request a username and password.
        Username = admin
        Password = admin
  7. You will then be shown the following screen. Select Quick Start to continue.
  8. Select the Connect Mode as ADSL and press Continue.
  9. Set the Auto Scan to Manually and press Apply.
  10. Enter the following details where your username and password have been provided by SpinTel, followed by pressing Apply.
  11. Enter the following details for your Wireless setup. Please note the ESSID is your wireless network name and WPA Shared Key is your wireless password. Once completed, press Apply.
  12. VoIP Setup (Optional):the following details for your VoIP setup. Please note that your VoIP username and password have been provided by SpinTel and your server details are listed below. Once entered press Apply.

        Registrar Address: voip.spintel.net.au
        User Domain/Realm: voip.spintel.net.au
        Outbound Proxy Address: voip.spintel.net.au

    If you do not have VoIP simply press Apply.
  13. Allow 10-20 seconds for the modem to save the information and once completed you should see the screen below.
