Please note: If you are connecting via Wi-Fi to your modem, you can enter http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar of your internet browser and skip to Step 8.
Plug in the Huawei E5832 into an available USB port on your Laptop or PC. Please note that one of the two USB connectors are labelled "Power", this connector should not be inserted into the PC / Laptop.
Once plugged in, power on the device. This is done by pressing and holding the power button on the right hand side of the device.
Allow 1-2 minutes for automatic installation of drivers to occur, once this completes you should be prompted to start an Autorun, click this to continue.
The following screen will appear, select Next to Continue.
Click "I Agree" to accept the license agreement.
Select the installation path, or leave as is (recommended) and click Next.
Please wait for the installation to complete.
Click Finish to complete the installation.
Please allow 1-2 minutes for drivers to finish installing after the wizard has been closed.
Once completed double click on the Web Partner icon on your desktop.
You will then be taken to the following screen, login with the password "admin".
Select "Settings" at the top of the screen and "Quick Setup" on the left, followed by the "Next" button.
Fill out the following Connection Details.
Choose the connection method that you prefer. Manual is recommended as you are able to control when data will be transmitted from your device when you choose. Connection is activated by pressing the "Connect" button on the right hand side of the device. Then press "Next".
Enter the Wireless Network Name (SSID) then press "Next".
Configure your Wireless Security, WPA-PSK is the recommended authentication method, your "Pre-Shared Key" is your wireless password. This must be a minimum of 8 alphanumeric characters. Once entered, press "Next".
You will then be shown a summary page, you can modify any of the settings by pressing "Back" or press "Finish" to complete.
The final screen is a confirmation page to let you know the settings have been updated. Press "Continue" to return the modem homepage.
Once this is completed you can then connect your device to the internet by pressing the "Connect" button on the right hand side of your modem.
