At SpinTel, we recognise the importance of empowering emerging entrepreneurs, so we are offering the Entrepreneur Grant to help support Australian students who are pursuing business education. By providing a helping hand to budding entrepreneurs, SpinTel hopes to create opportunities for students who are passionate about making a difference in the world through innovative and disruptive businesses.
The value of this grant is AUD $5,000 (total amount). The amount is paid as a one-off payment to the winner.
This grant is offered annually.
Entries to the 2024 grant open on 8 April 2024 and close 17 June 2024.

A letter from your educational institution’s student affairs or admissions office stating that you are enrolled as a student for a time period that includes the year 2024. This letter must:
Proof that you have accepted an offer to attend an accredited college or university for a semester/grading period starting on or before 11 March 2024. You must include proof of the offer made to you by the relevant institution along with proof that you have accepted the offer. The offer letter must:
A transcript or course list showing the courses you are enrolled in, and the diploma, degree or traineeship you are enrolled in. A transcript in .txt format is NOT acceptable. A transcript marked ‘Unofficial Transcript’ will suffice from most institutions.
Applicants who wish to be considered for the SpinTel Entrepreneur Grant are to submit:
A short written essay (maximum 500 words) on 'Why you consider yourself a budding entrepreneur, and what impact you hope to make in your field during your career'.
Each applicant is also required to submit a short written statement (maximum 300 words) explaining why they believe they deserve to win the grant.
We are looking for submissions that reflect a real desire to better yourself and/or achieve personal growth. It doesn't have to be great prose, just honest and informative.

Any entries to this Grant must be the entrant's original work. If an entry is found to be plagiarised or Generative Pre-Trained, in part or wholly, it will be disqualified from the SpinTel Entrepreneur Grant.
The winner of the SpinTel Entrepreneur Grant will be selected and awarded by a panel of judges from the SpinTel team on the basis of the entry that best answers The Challenge.
The panel for the 2024 grant will convene from 1 July 2024.
Due to the high number of applications, the winner will be notified on the 31st of July.

To apply for the grant, an Eligible Entrant must, during the Application Period:

The grant is one (1) $5,000.00 payment.

Means the Eligible Entrants judged to win the grant based on the Method of Draw.
The winning entry will be the Eligible Entrant who satisfies the Entry Procedure and is determined by the Promoter, on the Draw Date at the Promoter's Head Office, to have the best answer, in its sole discretion. The Promoter will have regard to, for instance, clarity of expression, the level of innovative thought, and grammatical features such as structure, syntax and vocabulary. This is a game of skill, and chance plays no part in determining the Winner.

Winner will be contacted by email, using the contact details on file with the Promoter, and will be published on the Promoter's website once the grant has been claimed.
The Winner must contact the Promoter by the grant Claim Date and provide the details required by the Promoter in its absolute discretion including proof of identification, following which the grant will be paid via EFT into the Winner's nominated bank account. If a Winner fails to claim the grant by the grant Claim Date, the Winner will be deemed to have forfeited the grant.

Information on how to enter the grant form part of these Terms and Conditions. All entries must comply with these Terms and Conditions to be valid.
Entrants are responsible for ensuring their familiarity with the Terms and Conditions at the time of participation. The Promoter's decision not to enforce its rights on any specific restriction (whether communicated to an Entrant or not) does not constitute a waiver of those rights, restrictions, or of the Terms and Conditions generally.
All Entrants acknowledge that the Promoter can rely on these Terms and Conditions even if the Promoter only learns of a person's ineligibility after the Promoter has awarded a grant to the ineligible person. Return of the grant or payment of its equivalent value to the Promoter may be required by the Promoter if that occurs.
If applicable, the Promoter has obtained the Permit Number(s) necessary to operate the Promotion in the Relevant State(s).
The Promoter's decision in relation to any aspect of these Terms and Conditions is final and binding on every Entrant. No correspondence will be entered into. grants will only be awarded following any winner validation and verification that the Promoter requires.
Nothing in the Terms and Conditions limit, exclude or modify or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under similar consumer protection laws.
A request by an Entrant to modify any information provided should be directed to the Promoter in writing.
An Entrant must, during the Promotion Period, follow the Entry Procedure.
Any rude, defamatory, offensive, illegal, incomprehensible, incorrect, or incomplete Entries (all of which will be at the absolute discretion of the Promoter), or which breach any law or infringe on any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights, will be invalid and may be deemed ineligible by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.
The Promoter is not responsible for receipt of incorrect, inaccurate, or incomplete information caused by an Entrant or occurring during transmission.
Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt by the Promoter.
On the grant Draw Date, the Promoter will select the Winner in accordance with the Method of Draw and these Terms and Conditions.
The Winner will be contacted in accordance with the Winner Notification Procedure and will remain published for a period of time determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.
If there is a dispute as to the identity of an Entrant or Winner, the Promoter reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to determine the identity of the Entrant or Winner.
If the Winner cannot be contacted, or the Winner does not contact the Promoter and/or fails to comply with the Claim Instructions before the grant Claim Date, the Winner is deemed to have forfeited the grant. The Promoter reserves the right to award the grant to another Entrant in its absolute discretion. The grant remains the property of the Promoter until claimed by the Winner.
If a grant is won by an Eligible Entrant who does not claim their grant by the grant Claim Date, a replacement Winner will be selected based on the Method of Draw from all remaining Eligible Entries received in the Promotion.
The Winner will receive the grant specified in the Schedule. The grant is to be taken ‘as is' and without any kind of warranty or customisation.
The Total grant Pool is specified in the Schedule.
If the grant (or part thereof) is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter, in its absolute discretion, reserves the right to substitute and or vary the grant (or part thereof) with a grant to the equal value and or specification, subject to any discretion from a State and/or Territory regulatory authority where necessary.
The grant or any unused portion of the grant is not exchangeable. If for any reason a Winner does not take a grant (or any portion of that grant) by the time stipulated by the Promoter, the grant (or any unused portion of that grant) will be forfeited.
All Promotion advertisements depicting or describing the grants and trademark references are illustrative rather than definitive and do not imply any association with the Promoter.
The grant may be subject to any additional conditions of the supplier or accredited Australian Tertiary Education Institution, for which the Promoter accepts no responsibility.
Entrants' personal information will be collected by the Promoter. Personal information will be stored on the Promoter's database. The Promoter may use this information for future marketing purposes regarding its products, including contacting the Entrant electronically.
The Promoter is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and its privacy policy which is located at https://www.spintel.net.au/policy/privacy. The Promoter's privacy policy contains information about how the Entrant may access, update and seek correction of the personal information the Promoter holds about them and how the Entrant may complain about any potential breach by the Promoter of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other Australian privacy laws and how such complaints will be dealt with. The Promoter collects personal information about Entrants to enable them to participate in this Promotion and may disclose the Entrants' personal information to third parties including its contractors and agents, grant suppliers and service providers to assist in conducting this Promotion and to the State and Territory lottery departments as required under the relevant lottery legislation. If the Entrant does not provide their personal information as requested, they may be ineligible to enter or claim a grant in the Promotion.
Personal information collected from Entrants will not be disclosed to any entity located outside of Australia.
The Entrant is responsible for any costs associated with winning a grant or, with accessing the Promotion website or Page and is dependent on the internet service provider used.
Any tax liability arising because of accepting any grant is the Winner's responsibility.
Entrants consent to the Promoter using the Entrant's name, likeness, image, and/or voice in the event they are a Winner in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any manufacturer, distributor and/or supplier used by the Promoter.
If the Promotion requires a creative response from the Entrants, then:
Entrants consent to the Promoter using their creative responses and agree to transfer all intellectual property in their creative responses to the Promoter once an Entry is made; and
All entries become the property of the Promoter.
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees, agents and related bodies corporate) bears no responsibility for any liability (including negligence), any personal injury, or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity) whether directly, indirectly or consequentially arising in any way out of:
If for any reason the Promotion is:
the Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to take any action available, including canceling, terminating, modifying, suspending, or extending this Promotion.
If the Promoter suffers loss or incurs any costs resulting from any breach of the Terms and Conditions or any other legal obligation of the Entrant, the Entrant agrees to indemnify the Promoter for those losses, damages, and costs.
The laws of Australia apply to this Promotion, Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
